There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other. That is what this photograph has become.... a living dream. This was photographed one night along the coastal Empire. I started shooting around 11pm and this is one of those all nighters that feel like you are living in a dream. I was standing waist deep on a high tide and on the left you can see the milkyway starting to show itself and on the right light pollution from a small town close by. I am blessed to shoot this type of work and I have done endless research of this area dating back to 2004. I am yearning to head back to the coast this spring to find myself on a remote beach like this one. Thank you to those of you that have supported my dreams and have helped them become a reality like this Photograph above... also  Thank you redbull for keeping me up so I can create works like this..

Lonely nights drinking redbull shooting all night long under the American Southwest Sky littered with billions of stars isn’t wasted time This massive stitched panorama shot away from the rest of the world was created by using LED light panels to "light paint" the under belly of this natural bridge of redrock. I waited and watched the full moon set which revealed the milkyway in all it’s glory here in desert filed with Peace and wonderment. good must conquer evil and truth will set me free So you see that somewhere I have found the key

This goes out to the music-makers, And you the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams. World-losers and world-forsakers, Upon whom the pale moon gleams; You movers and shakers.... dream on and let nothing hold you back..

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home

When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

First light is the best light! Watching a new day being born from Sausalito looking over Francisco Bay In Marin County, California.

This is my song
And nothing can make it die
It's been so long and it's stronger
I know why
And I wonder if you really, really know
That as long as I live I will sing my song for you

An eclipse of the Sun happens when the New Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, blocking out the Sun's rays and casting a shadow on parts of Earth.
In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present. He whose face gives no light, shall never become a star. Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself. Your path is illuminated by the light Yet darkness lets the stars shine bright.

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.

A Boneyard tree's root system is exposed after massive erosion here on Jekyll Island.

Beach erosion occurs when waves and currents remove sand from the beach system. The loss of sand causes the beach to become narrower and lower in elevation. Storm waves carry the sand offshore, depositing and storing the sand in large sandbars. The image was captured on a small island off the Georgia Coast called Jekyll Island.

This was a perfect night where I slept in a hammock among the Boneyards with a millions stars to gaze upon.

Maroon Bells Bliss

The wilderness holds answers to questions man has not yet learned to ask. The Maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountains, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, separated by about a third of a mile. The mountains are on the border between Pitkin County and Gunnison County, Colorado, United States, about 12 miles southwest of Aspen. Both peaks are fourteeners.

This photograph was captured on a perfect afternoon  around 4pm during the peak of the Aspen trees changing color. I look for moments like this but you have to put yourself in the right place and at the right time to experience moments. You have to go looking for miracles for there to be miracles. Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you're living?
