Aspens on Fire, Maroon Bells

aspens on fire

I believe that tomorrow isn't promised to you so you better live each day to it's fullest! We are but a dot on this planet and we live such short lives so I try to live each day as it could be my last.

I am blessed to be able to travel a lot and as I experience new locations I try and wakeup before the sunrise. That's my time of peace and I am normally by myself. I am always looking for amazing locations so I planned to be here at Maroon Bells near Aspen, CO as the fall colors where changing. Aspen trees are truly amazingly unique trees and this day their fall colors where at their peak. When most people think of the largest living organism on the planet, they usually think of a blue whale or a giant sequoia red wood tree. But the fact of the matter is the largest living organism is the aspen grove. Aspen trees are connected to each other by a massive roots system creating a large biomass. As one tree changes color so do all of the trees connected to the same root system.

Every morning while in Aspen I would wake up at 4am and make it up to Maroon Bells for that sunrise. There's a spiritual feeling that fills a need I have that's hard to explain. I need pure pristine nature in my life like you would need air or food. There's something inside of me that desires it and that natural high is something I am always in search of. I know now that I'll never fill that craving as long as I live. I am 33 years young now so I have a long life to live.  I hope you will follow along my journey.... It will be filled with views like this one... Peace be with you... I hope you enjoy my passion for these locations... I'll never stop exploring this beautiful world!

Cheers and Blessings
