First light is the best light! Watching a new day being born from Sausalito looking over Francisco Bay In Marin County, California.

This is my song
And nothing can make it die
It's been so long and it's stronger
I know why
And I wonder if you really, really know
That as long as I live I will sing my song for you

An eclipse of the Sun happens when the New Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, blocking out the Sun's rays and casting a shadow on parts of Earth.
In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present. He whose face gives no light, shall never become a star. Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself. Your path is illuminated by the light Yet darkness lets the stars shine bright.

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.

A Boneyard tree's root system is exposed after massive erosion here on Jekyll Island.

Beach erosion occurs when waves and currents remove sand from the beach system. The loss of sand causes the beach to become narrower and lower in elevation. Storm waves carry the sand offshore, depositing and storing the sand in large sandbars. The image was captured on a small island off the Georgia Coast called Jekyll Island.

This was a perfect night where I slept in a hammock among the Boneyards with a millions stars to gaze upon.

Maroon Bells Bliss

The wilderness holds answers to questions man has not yet learned to ask. The Maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountains, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, separated by about a third of a mile. The mountains are on the border between Pitkin County and Gunnison County, Colorado, United States, about 12 miles southwest of Aspen. Both peaks are fourteeners.

This photograph was captured on a perfect afternoon  around 4pm during the peak of the Aspen trees changing color. I look for moments like this but you have to put yourself in the right place and at the right time to experience moments. You have to go looking for miracles for there to be miracles. Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you're living?

Soul Fire

While I was on Kauai I would come to this location almost daily hoping for an epic sunset. One day I witnessed this massive band of clouds come together as the sun was dipping below the horizon. scenes like this bring life into my soul. My heart soul and eyes desire to not only witness these types of views but I feel as if it is food for my soul

#Hawaiian legend tells of Pele, goddess of fire, coming to Na Pali Coast in search of a home. But her sister and nemesis, Namakaokaha'i, a goddess of the sea, drove her away.

Like other Hawaiian islands, Kaua'i formed over a hot spot, or magma plume. As tectonic forces moved the island off the hot spot, its volcanic fires cooled. Kaua'i, the oldest of the major Hawaiian islands, is the remnant of a shield volcano that formed about five million years ago.

This was captured with a Canon 5D Mark 4 shot as a massive 6 Shot stitched Panorama

Sunset at Kalalau Beach

Kalalau Beach is a real place that I am blessed to have seen! I shot this image from a boat at the peak of sunset during a late spring afternoon. It's like no other place I have ever seen with my eyes! The Na Pali Coast is truly the most amazing place on all of the hawaiian islands! This beach is on the Nā Pali Coast at the base of the Kalalau Valley in north-west Kauaʻi in Hawaiʻi. It is the final destination of the Kalalau Trail, one of the most difficult trails on the Hawaiian Islands. The beach is approximately 1 mile long, with trails snaking through the rest of the valley where people in hiding are rumored to live.

Flying above the Reinefjord

This was one of the best days shooting of my life! Sometimes the journey is the destination and sometimes your destination is Reine! I was flying around the Lofoten islands in a helicopter capturing unimaginable views hanging out from the open doors. The colors of this region can blow you away when the light is right. After this flight I had pure joy and was laughing like a child again.

Cheers to the journeys you never forget!

Little moments can have a feeling and a texture that is very real. Watching the way hard and diffused light was wrapping around this massive rainbow trees.

Eucalyptus deglupta is a tall tree, commonly known as the rainbow eucalyptus, Mindanao gum, or rainbow gum. It is found in an area that spans New Britain, New Guinea, Seram, Sulawesi and Mindanao, and is the only Eucalyptus species with a natural range that extends into the northern hemisphere. It thrives in tropical forests that get a lot of rain.
