Spælsau Sheep near the small village of Yttersand along the Lofoten Island coast. I started hiking along a bluff near the small village and these sheep seem to come out of nowhere. I started talking to the baby and he came to meet me. It was a beautiful moment under a midnight sun during an endless summer in Norway.

Hambidge’s acclaimed Annual Art Auction & Performance Gala – this one is our 20th! – will return to The Goat Farm Arts Center and raise the bar on Atlanta’s most dynamic art event of the year.
Over 150 superb works of art in the silent auction will delight and tempt you, while the city’s top restaurants and caterers will provide an unrivaled taste experience. This year’s new performance aspect will showcase five finalists for an exciting public art initiative being jointly launched by Hambidge and the Goat Farm. The FIELD EXPERIMENT calls on artists, scientists, architects, performers, and visionaries from across the U.S. to take risks, dream big, and produce an imaginative and interactive performance or installation. Auction guests will experience the unveiling of the top five projects with the opportunity to vote for your top choice. One project will be awarded the $20,000 Field Experiment commission to help realize their vision on a grand scale on the streets of Atlanta this fall. Attendees can attempt to sway the outcome by voting for the Audience Favorite award.

20th Annual Silent Art Auction, 7-10pm
Find your favorite auction pieces, start your on-line bidding, then wander throughout the arts center – a former factory and historic site – to discover the projects of the five FIELD EXPERIMENT finalists, and vote on your top choice.
