Street Art
Ever since I was young I have been drawn to HipHop music. More than just a musical genre, HipHop is a culture and is comprised of four distinct parts: MC’ing, Dj’ing/scratching, break-dancing and graffiti. The personal musical and visual connection that I feel with this culture has guided me to document and archive photographs of the graffiti movement during my travels around the globe. This graffiti series entitled “Street Art” is an on-going process; all of the images in this series are 100% graffiti-based, and I will consistently be adding new imagery as I continue to find and document the various artists’ stylistic expressions, social movements, and regional and local vibes along with unique, worldly souls whom I encounter along my journeying.
